The preschool piano program is a dynamic group class for children ages 3.5-5, designed to give preschoolers a solid foundation in piano playing with a broader goal of teaching the fundamentals of music. All classes are 45 minutes per week. These lessons also teach composition through a ground breaking method specifically designed for preschoolers, and utilize concepts and exercises from Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Kodaly, both methods renowned for developing musical ability in young children through movement, rhythm, and singing games. These lessons are especially good for the child who is not yet ready to sit through a private half-hour lesson, or for any child who really wants to start any musical instrument, but is not quite ready for the traditional private piano lesson.
