Recitals, Workshops, and Competitions
Upcoming Recital
The Irvine School of Music proudly presents more performance opportunities than any other music schools in the area for its students! As with all elements of playing, performing is a skill that needs to be practiced and refined. Consequently, we offer a wealth of performance opportunities. Students can participate in 2 formal recitals, June and December respectively.
These recitals are held at:
For pianists, workshops are also held bimonthly - these are informal gatherings of 5-10 students who play for each other, receive feedback from a master or guest teacher, and are encouraged to offer constructive peer critique. For non-keyboard instrumentalists and vocalists, we also partner with local coffee shops like Peets to offer weekly open-mic nights.
Additional performance opportunities are hosted by our local Music Teachers of California branch , as well as festivals and competitions for students who are ready.
Cheerful choir singers and pianists after a successful recital. |
