Our teachers will be bringing the fun and the tunes this summer with one of our many SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMPS we are offering this year! All camps run on a weekly basis Monday – Friday. Here is what is in store with the camps we are offering this summer!
- $25 registration discount if sign up by 4/15 as spots are limited
- All camp tuition is non refundable but transferable to class tuition
- Accepted via MC or VISA
- All camps will conclude with informal performance and presentation for parents to show off skills learned.
- All camps are a jumpstart for ongoing musical study, or a fun trial experience for music lovers.
- If the date or camp topic does not work for them, we can let them know that if they have 3 other students (4 total as minimum) who are willing to join that camp, we can create a separate camp topic or date for them.
Camp Courses!
Instrument Discovery Camp
Ages: 6-12
Experience: 0 experience needed
Tuition: $450 including material for 5-day camp, 4 hours each day
Schedule: June 17-21 or July 22-26 / Monday-Friday 10:00am-2:00pm
Materials: Instruments will be provided!
Each course will feature a new group of instruments – Percussion, Piano, Violin, Guitar, and Voice. Campers will have hands-on experience with each instrument! We guarantee this to be FUN! These camps are taught by professional instructors! By the end of the session, your camper will be sure to find their favorite instrument.
Music Fun Time Jumpstart Camp
Ages: 2-3; 3-5
Experience: 0 experience required
Tuition: $250 including materials for 5-day camp, 2 hours each day
Schedule: June 17-21 or July 22-26 / Monday-Friday 11:00am-1:00pm
Materials: rhythm sticks, kazoo, worksheets and musical crafts included.
Note-reading games, mini Rock Band, and multi-instrument exposure add a fresh, exciting dimension to the piano instruction offered in this internationally acclaimed early childhood music program. Students will perform for parents during the last 15 minutes of the last class. The class will be led by our specially trained Irvine School of Music early childhood music faculty.
The first 8 weeks of the 2-year Music fun time curriculum is taught in this dynamic 5-day session – this intro camp is structured to give summer Music Fun Time beginners a headstart and serves as a convenient trial opportunity for this dynamic and progressive early childhood music program.
Piano Jump Start Camp
Ages: 5-12
Experience: 0 experience required
Tuition: $250 including materials for 5 day camp, 2 hours each day
Schedule: June 24 to June 28, or July 29 to August 2nd 11:00am-1:00pm
Materials: Instruments will be provided!
An ideal 5 day, 20 hour jump start camp for piano students with little to no experience as we will be covering essential elements and fundamentals of ideal and ergonomic piano technique, note reading with ease, the basics of playing by ear, the basics of improvisation and composition, and fun music of your choice – from Disney, folk, popular, Classical, Rock, & more! Students will perform for parents during the last class! Keyboard at home is not required but helpful! 8 weeks of curriculum will be taught in this fun, action packed Piano camp!
Songwriting
Ages: 8+
Experience: No experience required
Tuition: $250 for 5 day session + recording
Materials: sheet music and recordings included
Schedule: July 8-12 or August 12-16 / Monday- Friday, 11:00AM-1:00PM
Whether a beginner or advanced songwriter student, hone your lyric writing and composition of effective harmonies and accompaniment in our dynamic Summer songwriting camp! There will be many solo and co-writing songwriting opportunities that will ignite the songwriting fire. Students and parents will love showcasing original works during the final class! Students will be given audio/video recordings of their original work.
Music Production
Ages: 7+
Experience: 1 year music lessons
Tuition: $250
Schedule: July 15-19 or Aug 5-9 / Monday- Friday, 11:00AM-1:00PM
Materials: Bring your own MacBook laptop with Garage Band and USB flash drive to use in class and for homework.
Learn to write, produce, and arrange original music in a variety of styles (classical, pop, electronic, film music), utilizing software programs including Garage Band, MuseScore, and Audacity. Students will create original works in this 21st-century electronic mode while learning how to efficiently use popular music production programs.
Students will learn the following and more!
- Score a short animation scene
- Program a drum beat pattern
- Arrange a simple classical piano piece using virtual strings
- Record and mix a spoken sentence and words into the music
- Produce an electronic dance music piece
