General Manager at Irvine School of Music – Irvine, CA

The Irvine School of Music is hiring a full time general manager to add to our team.

This is a sales, customer service, and administrative position that oversees operations and includes front desk coverage. We are looking for someone to grow with the company.

In this time of Coronavirus crisis, we are in particular in looking for someone tech savvy to offer lesson support to our teachers and students who are conducting private and group music lessons online with Zoom software, with speed, accuracy, and versatility in word, excel, google drive, and our client management resource upon training, and who is willing and able to work at our facility while we practice all CDC safety and sanitation guidelines as we conduct both in person and virtual lessons.

We offer guitar, piano, voice lessons and more to children and adults, and keep our students excited about music lessons from year to year with world class programming, teaching, and top notch customer service. We have performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and debut’ed at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa in June 2019. July 2020 was to be our debut at Colburn School of Music in Downtown Los Angeles however due to Covid-19, we have held 5 virtual recitals and are planning our next outdoors performance opportunity!

PAY, BENEFITS, ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES –

Increase in pay is possible plus bonus based on performance and meeting sales goals.

Benefits include Health benefits and PTO (Paid time off) – room for expansion based on performance and some paid holidays depending on sales.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Fast, efficient solution to operational issues, develop and implement operational solutions
  • Available for on-call problem solving outside of scheduled shift
  • Amazing phone voice/Strong phone sales skills
  • Someone who is not afraid or against doing sales in addition to admin.
  • Strong customer service background (restaurants, service industry, sales, retail, banking).

  • Attention to detail and double checking work a must

Working Hours

M-F opening shift is 830 AM to 430 PM; closing is 1-10 PM. Saturdays 845 AM to 515 PM and Sundays 845 AM to 515 PM.

Shifts will include combination of weekday morning/evening shifts and either Saturday or Sunday. We will not consider candidates only available for weekday morning shifts. This would be in combination with additional time needed outside of regular shifts to work on projects.

Working Hours
